The Role:

  • To carry out electrical condition reports on existing industrial installations
  • Carry out fixed appliance testing
  • Compile reports
  • Identify and correctly code defects in line with BS 7671, listing all materials required for rectification
  • Complete selected remedial works at time of inspection
  • Complete electrical installation works arising from the condition report on return visit, inclusive of all testing and certification
  • Read, understand and follow RAMS
  • Take responsibility for the Health and Safety of yourself and all under your control
  • Working at height
  • Working in confined spaces


Requirements

The Candidate:

  • Gold ECS card
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • EUSR Clean Water card
  • Experience in a similar role within an industrial environment
  • Test and Inspect qualification
  • Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
  • Fitness to work medical
  • Experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment, ideally within the water/waste water industry
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and Health & Safety training.
  • Numeric and reading skills.
  • Prepared to take responsibility for self and others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to give and take instruction.
